London – Perched proudly on a trolley or nestling in a box of de-icer, Mango the moggy is king of the supermarket aisle.
In fact, he is such a hit with customers at his local store that he has his own Facebook page.
The tabby spends most of his time snoozing in the foyer or curled up on the entrance mat of the Tesco branch in Tiverton, Devon.
He has become so well-loved that an unknown customer set up a page on the social networking site allowing fans to share their pictures and stories.
“Our children love this cat so much that my husband suggested we make a page for him,” she wrote. “So here it is – to put a smile on people’s faces.”
Mango, who has an owner and lives a stone’s throw away, has spent nearly all his time at the supermarket over the past four years.
Fan Maureen Saunders wrote on his page: ‘He’s a dear little thing.’
