While getting rid of clutter is one way to make a small home look bigger, owners can also:
♦ Paint walls and ceilings in light colours and hang light-coloured curtains and blinds.
♦ Remove unnecessary furniture and add mirrors to give rooms more depth.
♦ Use tall, narrow lamps and planters which take up less floor space and add an impression of height.
