Sectional title units and freehold or full title homes within secure lifestyle estates are increasingly being launched by developers in sought-after locations to cater for changed demands from the retirement sector.

In many such instances, full title and sectional title ownership is geared specifically for over-50s who prefer to invest in actual property ownership, says Sandra Gordon, Pam Golding Properties senior research analyst.

“These investments yield solid capital return over time while providing flexibility, along with all the desired medical facilities and other amenities.”

Andrew Golding, chief executive of the Pam Golding Property Group, adds that those who are winding down their careers or working from home during their later years may want to live in secure environments, which offer a range of activities and amenities, without the hassle and additional expense of maintenance.

He says they seek conveniently located lock-upand-go properties which require little attention while still providing the comfort and luxury, as well as the independence, associated with established homes.
