Yomhlaba Resources had officially changed its name to SA Coal Mining Holdings, the coal producer announced yesterday, and its shares were consolidated on a one-for-10 basis at the opening of the JSE yesterday.
Royal Bafokeng Holdings has a 65 percent stake in SA Coal Mining, which has two operational coal mines.
The company has been granted coal export capacity of 200 000 tons a year at the Richards Bay coal terminal and a further 500 000 tons a year from 2009.
SA Coal Mining chairman Thabo Mokgatlha said: "This is the culmination of over two years hard work in our transformation into a coal-focused, growth-orientated mining entity." - Justin Brown, Johannesburg
