AngloGold Ashanti, the global gold producer, had completed the purchase of Sao Bento Gold Company and its wholly owned subsidiary, Sao Bento Mineracao South Africa, the mining firm announced on Monday.
The two companies were acquired for $70 million (R710 million) from the Eldorado Gold Corporation.
The purchase price was settled through the issuance of 2 701 660 AngloGold Ashanti shares. - Bonolo Modise
