The eighth annual FHM Style and Grooming Awards announced favourite men's brands winners as voted for by the readers of FHM magazine.

The event saw Truworths walk away with top honours in the Department Store of the Year category and Guess in turn enjoying the accolade of being crowned Retailer of the Year.

The New Grooming Gadget Product of the Year winner was Gillette with their Phenom product - also the top choice in the Shaving Product of the Year category.

Other top awarded brands included iconic TAG Heuer (Watch Brand of the Year), Levi's (Denim Brand of the Year), and a double win for Puma (Footwear Brand of the Year as well as Sports Brand of the Year). AXE was voted as the Deodorant of the Year, Hugo Boss Element as Fragrance of the Year, Nivea for Men as Skincare Range of the Year, and L'Oreal Homme Professionnel as Haircare Range of the Year.

The Fashion Ad of the Year in FHM went to Guess, while AXE Dark Temptation in turn received the Grooming Ad of the Year.

Iron Fist walked away as the Local Designer of the Year.

The final category winner was Diesel, who received the prestigious FHM Style and Grooming Awards 2009 Editor's Choice award.

FHM's fashion director, Kirsty Stoltz, says that she couldn't agree more with FHM's reader choices. "Our readers take fashion, style and personal grooming very seriously, while at the same time still being able to have a sense of humour and enjoy themselves. It's a delight to see that our FHM readers have impeccable taste, but of course that's what we expect from them."
