SANTOVA, the listed integrated logistics solutions provider, is expanding its operations in Germany following the acquisition last year of Masterfreight Internationale Spedition based in Frankfurt. The company said yesterday that this expansion was part of the group’s strategy to establish sea and air freight capabilities in all major transportation gateways throughout Europe. It said Masterfreight Internationale Spedition, a freight forwarding and clearing agent focused on air freight imports and exports, had been expanded through the establishment of a new office in Hamburg in Germany effective from April 1. Santova said the new Hamburg office would be focused on sea freight imports and exports. Shares gained 1.34 percent to close at R3.79 yesterday. – Roy Cokayne
