Johannesburg - Financial service group Liberty Holdings said yesterday that the newly established Liberty Two Degrees was planning to raise R2.8 billion via a listing on the JSE.
It said it would reach its target if it sold up to 200 million units at R10 a piece. The intention was to be listed on the diversified Real Estate Investment Trust (Reit) sector on the main board of the JSE by early December.
The listing follows Liberty Holdings announcement in August that it would list a portion of its property portfolio under Liberty Two Degrees.
The company said the listing would give investors access to the firm’s property assets. It said the listed Reit would be managed by the propriety company, Stanlib.
