In a move that is sure to take South African families by storm, the Checkers Little Shop campaign is back for a fifth time, offering its most extensive collection yet.

From 22 September to 9 November, shoppers will be treated to an exciting assortment of 46 reimagined miniatures designed to spark creativity and fun without screens.

Each purchase comes with a new board game, making this an unmissable opportunity for family bonding.

This year’s collection features charming soft and rubbery minis, cleverly designed to double as fidget toys, perfect for keeping those little fingers busy.

Among the highlights are some recognisable favourites from the Checkers brand, including the miniature Sixty60 delivery bike and Simple Truth Coconut Water.

There’s a strong dose of local flavour with items from South African heritage brands such as All Gold Tomato Sauce, Ouma Rusks, and Oros characters.

These adorable tokens are bound to bring back fond memories for parents while enchanting a new generation.

The campaign focuses on children’s engagement through the 3-in-1 game board, encouraging two or more players to combine their brainpower with physical activities like jumping and running.

The aim is to race to the finish line, thus promoting not just play, but active play that families can enjoy together.

Exclusively available to Xtra Savings members, this promotion allows participants to earn one of the collectible minis with every purchase of R200 at Checkers, Checkers Hyper, Checkers Foods, and via Checkers Sixty60.

The Collector’s Case, which includes the board game and die, can be purchased for just R99.99.

As part of its commitment to sustainability, Checkers has ensured that each mini is crafted from a minimum of 80% post-consumer recycled materials, such as discarded water bottles, fridge components, and old goggles.

This initiative not only gives new life to materials once destined for landfill but also highlights Checkers’ dedication to promoting a circular economy.

To further this commitment, customers can return unwanted or duplicate minis to in-store Little Shop recycling boxes.

In doing so, Checkers will either recycle or repurpose them, reducing waste and supporting sustainable efforts within the community.

Additionally, shoppers have a chance to participate in the Little Shop Competition by purchasing any three participating products and swiping their Xtra Savings card.

The grand prize? A five-night family trip for four to LEGOLAND Dubai, valued at an impressive R224,000.

As excitement builds around the return of Checkers Little Shop, families are encouraged to gather their loved ones, collect, play, and create cherished memories during this innovative and eco-conscious campaign.
