The all bond index (Albi) was reweighted yesterday at the start of the index's first quarter.

The government's R152 bond and Transnet's T17 bond both fell out of the Albi because, according to index rules, their maturity dates are less than a year away.

The entire issued amount of the Albi was R341.7 billion. This represented almost 70 percent of the total issued amount of listed bonds which comes to R493 billion.

The Albi is made up of the top 20 largest and most liquid bonds in South Africa.
