Published

Johannesburg - Transnet , South Africa's state-owned transportation company, has asked potential buyers of its Freight Dynamics and Viamax units to express their interest.

In an advertisement published in South African newspapers on Tuesday, Transnet said the tender will close on July 12.

Freight Dynamics is a road freight company with a network of depots and a fleet of 714 trucks while Viamax manages a fleet of more than 7 000 vehicles.

Potential buyers will have to be at least 30 percent black-owned, Transnet said, as South Africa's government is seeking to boost black participation in the economy. - Bloomberg
