SABMiller, South Africa's biggest bottler of soft drinks, said yesterday that an interruption to the supply of carbon dioxide had disrupted its production of Coca-Cola and Cadbury Schweppes drinks locally.
Shortages of some sizes of carbonated drinks were anticipated for the next two months and SABMiller might import some products from Asia, said spokesperson Michael Farr. The gas shortage from African Oxygen would not affect beer output. - Bloomberg, Cape Town
