Wesco: JSE listing to end on July 6

Published

Wesco Investment's listing on the JSE would be terminated on Monday July 6, the company said on Friday. The termination follows Wesco's disposal of its last remaining assets - its 25 percent in Toyota South Africa last August for R2.13 billion - leaving Wesco as a cash shell company. The JSE suspended the listing in March, after the investment company failed to conclude an agreement to enable it to continue trading. This resulted in SA Trust, controlled by Elisabeth Bradley, a director of Wesco, acquiring the ordinary shares in Wesco it did not already own. - Thabiso Mochiko
