African Christian Democratic Party president Reverend Kenneth Meshoe extended his condolences to the former health minister's family after her death on Wednesday.
"We are grateful for the contribution she made to help bring about transformation and democracy in South Africa."
Professor Jeff Wing told Sapa Tshabalala-Msimang died in the Wits University Donald Gordon Medical Centre & Medi-Clinic ICU "about a minute ago", shortly before 3pm.
