Myriad - Strong demand boosts turnover

Myriad Medical Holdings increased turnover by 16 percent to R153.2 million in the six months to November, the AltX-listed medical devices supplier said yesterday. The company said this was achieved despite difficult market conditions due to continued strong demand in both the public and private sectors. Myriad acquired two new agencies in the period that also boosted turnover growth. Earnings rose 16 percent to R14.2m, while earnings a share rose 17 percent to 7.6c. It said 98 percent of the revenue was derived from single-use medical consumables distributed by its Manta Medical, Manta Forensic, Filterworks, ICU Medical and Earth Medical divisions.
