Cosatu is planning three marches in KwaZulu-Natal as part of a national stay-away campaign to put an end to labour brokers, the union federation said on Wednesday.
“We fully support the suggested stay-away on March 7 against labour brokers and e-tolling,” provincial secretary Zet Luzipo said in Durban.
The Congress of SA Trade Unions was planning marches in Durban, Newcastle, and Richards Bay.
“Our freedom and liberation cannot be achieved if we are still victims of labour brokerage,” Luzipo said.
“Labour brokers are elements that suck vulnerable people who are desperate for employment. We need to rid ourselves of these elements.”
