ESKOM has predicted a slimmer chance of load shedding today, but warns that the system remains constrained. Its Sere Wind Farm near Vredendal in the Western Cape has been producing its full 100 megawatts commercial capacity from the end of March. But it said the prospects of power cuts would largely depend on the available capacity and the demand. “Because of maintenance… certain areas will be without electricity for a certain period, but about 96 percent of South Africans will still continue to receive power supply.” – Staff Reporter
