ESKOM has said chances of load shedding today would be smaller. The utility, which announced that its Sere Wind Farm near Vredendal plant had started producing 100 megawatts of electricity, said while the grid was still constrained, it remained stable. However, the power utility said that power cuts could be applied at short notice should the demand exceed the supply. “Eskom would like to assure customers that load shedding is implemented as a necessary measure to protect the power system,” the power utility said – Staff Reporter
