Johannesburg - Cosatu has come out in criticism of the ANC’s resolutions made at its recent national general council.
This is because the union argues the resolutions do not show any “seriousness” to take forward its own commitment to radically changing the country’s economy.
“The commitment seems to only exist on paper and nowhere else,” Cosatu’s acting general secretary, Bheki Ntshalintshali told journalists.
He was briefing the media following a central executive committee meeting of the federation, held this week.
It, however, welcomed the ANC’s “progressive” resolutions from the NGC with regard to land reform and rural development, as well as food security and provision of housing.
Last Sunday the ANC announced all farmers should give their farm-workers employees 50 percent of their land.
