Johannesburg - The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) youth structure will hold its elective congress from today until Saturday at St George's Hotel in Pretoria.
More than 350 delegates are expected to attend, with 299 expected to vote.
The theme this year is “Conscientise youth to advance workers power and the revolution”.
Public Works Minister Thulas Nxesi and Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba are expected to address the conference.
The ANC Youth League and labour federation Cosatu will also speak to delegates.
While the conference was set to start at 9am, it was off to a slow start on Thursday morning, with most delegates chanting and singing as they waited.
