Radio Presenter, Penny Ntuli has responded to the ongoing online backlash after a video of her and a friend twerking on a national freeway went viral.

In the video, Penny Ntuli and her friend are seen dancing on the side of the freeway. It has sparked a wide range of backlash, and many were calling her act reckless.

With the matter escalating, Penny took to X to address the reasons to why she was twerking. In her video, she shares that while she is not sorry and won't apologise, she will explain the reasons behind the 'mini performance'.

She further explained that with driving long hours, she  got tired and overwhelmed, so she decided to stop alongside the freeway with her friend to dance and twerk her worries and frustrations away.

"What I did, it wasn't meant to hurt anyone," she said.

"And I know that a lot of things happen because I am Penny Ntuli but if it was somebody else who is not Penny Ntuli, this matter would not be up for a discussion and it would not be given any attention," she added.

Ntuli went on to dispel claims that she was 'drunk'.

"I want to make some clarification for those who say I was heavily under the influence of alcohol, I would like to say that I do not drink and everything that I do, I do knowingly and sober," she said.

Ntuli further stated that her dance was not a challenge.
