Queen Bey has officially kicked off her highly anticipated "Cowboy Carter Tour", and it has been a wild ride from the get-go.
The theme is all about Texas cowboy glam, with thigh-high boots, tassels, and cowboy hats taking centre stage.
The tour launched on Monday, April 28, at the Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles, and as usual, fans were treated to an unforgettable performance as the singer known for her hit “Texas Hold ‘Em” brought the Texas fire to Los Angeles.
A day before the big night, Beyoncé had given fans a sneak peek of the elaborate stage setup, building anticipation to a fever pitch.
She, of course, delivered her loved and highly anticipated performance of her songs from the Cowboy Carter album such as “II Most Wanted” and “Levii’s Jeans” to list a few.
Additionally, she also featured some of her classics, ranging from “Formation” to “Daddy Lessons”.
One of the standout moments of the night came when Blue Ivy, Beyoncé’s 13-year-old daughter, strutted onto the stage like a supermodel, leading the routine to her mother’s classic song “Deja Vu”.
The big sister owned the stage; her confident and sassy moves left the crowd gasping in awe.
It is no secret that Blue stole the show on last year’s "Renaissance" tour with her show-stopping dance solo, and this time around, she is back with even more attitude and energy. She absolutely killed it.
Another iconic moment came when Beyoncé lit up a cigarette and the piano on stage during her performance of “YA YA”, adding an extra layer of theatrics and sass to the already fiery song.
But the most heartwarming moment of the night had to be when the mother of three shared the stage with her daughters, Rumi and Blue Ivy, during the emotional performance of “Protector”.
The song features Rumi, Beyoncé’s 7-year-old daughter, who is one-half of her twins with husband Jay-Z.
On the album, the original song begins with a sweet snippet of Rumi asking her mom, “Mom, can I hear the lullaby, please?”.
The song is a beautiful tribute to the unconditional love and protection that mothers provide for their children, having her children on stage during the performance further created a special moment for her as well as her fans.
Additionally, the "Renaissance" robot made a comeback as it was seen pouring Beyoncé a shot of whiskey from her recently launched whisky brand, SirDavis as she was sitting on a chair.
Despite rumours circulating online about the tour’s supposed poor ticket sales, the reality was quite the opposite. The tour took off with a massive turnout of enthusiastic fans, who were treated to an unforgettable performance filled with iconic moments.
The show’s elaborate production, coupled with the hitmaker’s captivating stage presence, left the audience in awe.
As the tour continues to make its way across Europe, fans are eagerly anticipating what’s in store for the upcoming shows.
