DJ, music producer and avid Kaizer Chiefs supporter Oscar Mbo has criticised the team’s players following a 1-1 draw against Marumo Gallants FC at FNB Stadium yesterday.
“Our players don’t respect the badge; we need to be honest,” Mbo said.
“There are some players who don’t deserve to be donning the famous gold and black. It’s irritating to be here, having the same concerns as previous seasons. This is not a coaching issue; it is the unwillingness of players.”
Mbo singled out individual performances. “Frosler, I’m disappointed in you. You had one job - to jump and head the ball out of danger, protect your zone."
"But no, you were casual as usual and quick to run to the centre line after that goal as if you were going to do something. You have been bubbling under for years; you see that position is gone to Monyane, but you still act like this.”
He also criticised Gastón Sirino. “Sirino, you cost us the match. You were not decisive, and your body language is worrying. You need to do better or ask to be excused. You have been the same since your arrival, always promising but never being the number 10 we need.”

Mbo addressed Mduduzi Shabalala directly as well. “Mdu, please get rid of that hairstyle and remember why you were promoted. You were one of the players we had pride in from our development, but you have dropped drastically."
"Go back to your roots and remember why we supported your inclusion. Today was not your best day, and we cannot have you showing no accountability.”
He urged the rest of the squad to raise their standards.
“The rest of the squad, fight one another to be on the same level. We cannot be playing at home as if we are away. There is no dominance and no pressure on opponents at home."
"You know how much we struggle away, but we are comfortable at home, yet we settle for draws and lucky goals. Please respect the badge and play for us as you should.”
Other fans also reacted.
Musician Museeq IQ wrote: “Those new signings are NEEDED! ASAP.”
Malumz On Decks added: “By now, we should know that Sirino cannot start a match, and Frosler shouldn’t even be on the line-up. Same mistakes week in, week out.”
