Kim Kardashian's faux pubic hair panties sell out – but why?

Say what you want about Kim Kardashian but this time her wacky trend of faux pubic hair panties has her laughing straight to the bank!

Within hours of its launch under Kim's SKIMS brand, the itsy-bitsy little 'piece' of underwear featuring a faux hair design was sold out.

According to the Skims website, "Our most daring panty yet. Hand-made in a super sheer, stretch mesh, this string thong features a mix of curly and straight faux hair in twelve different shade variations. Complete with elastic side straps. Fits true to size."

The thong features sheer mesh at the front with fake hair - that comes in a wide range of colours - and elastic side straps.

Hard no?

Doesn't seem like many are keen on the item. People in the comments on the SKIMS Instagram page were less than impressed with the latest offering, someone even remarked that it was a way of keeping SKIMS in the media. 

"Someone please tell me why these are out of stock. Who is buying?" asked Instagram user, @brynnalea.

"Kimberly, please show me the market research. Who asked for this?" questioned @ashleelovelee.

While @bychefkristi added, "This definitely takes the cake on the worst thing I've ever seen."

It's not the first time the 42-year-old mom of four has taken a daring twist with her range.
