It’s officially October, which means Halloween is approaching for those who celebrate, and one of those people is creator Big Mara.

The American TikTokker has summoned most of the renowned horror villains. The app users have found their new obsession, and it all started with a joke from Mara.

“Have y’all ever seen a scary movie character and thought to yourself, 'Oh, I could take him or oh I could take her?' Personally, I think I could take 'Jeepers Creepers',” she said in a video that has since gone viral.

That single statement unlocked a horror crossover nobody saw coming.

What began as Mara confidently declaring she could handle "Jeepers Creepers", from the film franchise, has turned into a back-and-forth saga between her and some of cinema’s most infamous villains.

Creepers himself was the first to respond, posting a darkly comic TikTok of Mara’s obituary picture with the caption “celebrating the life of Mara,” followed by releasing black balloons to the sky in a bid to show he’s on his way for her.

Instead of backing down, Mara is standing on business, keeping the banter going and from there, things have since spiralled.

Pinhead from “Hellraiser” joined the chat, followed by Pennywise the Clown from “It”, Jason Voorhees from “Friday the 13th”, Michael Myers from “Halloween”, and Freddy Krueger from “A Nightmare on Elm Street”.

One by one, these iconic villains resurfaced on TikTok, each “summoned” by Mara’s joke, put their own spin on threatening her.

What started as a joke is now one of TikTok’s funniest trends, a mash-up of horror nostalgia and internet humour where the scariest movie villains are no longer feared but roasted and challenged.

The comments section has been having just as much fun as the creators themselves. Some TikTokkers have joked that Halloween is cancelled this year because all the villains are too busy chasing Mara.

Others have started to resurface more characters from classic horror films, making it feel like the entire spooky universe is coming together for the sole purpose of proving Mara wrong.

Other fans have been quite entertained and have taken it a step further, suggesting that the series should be turned into a comedy-horror blockbuster that would give “Scary Movie” a run for its money.
