Nomalanga Shozi and Robot Boii to host the Last Dance Music Festival on New Year's Eve

Renowned TV presenter Nomalanga Shozi is ending 2025 strong with another hosting gig, the 16th annual Last Dance Music Festival.

Nomalanga “The Flame” Shozi, alongside Robot Boii, on New Year’s Eve, will host the 16th annual Last Dance Music Festival.

This year, Shozi dazzled audiences by hosting the Miss South Africa 2025 grand finale.

The Last Dance Music Festival returns to Pietermaritzburg’s Royal Showgrounds this year and promises a night of electrifying performances, celebration, and cultural pride as the country counts down to 2026.

Several other popular hosts will join robot Boii and Shozi. The music festival will be broadcast live on SABC 1 from 9 pm, giving audiences across the country a front-row seat to one of KwaZulu-Natal’s biggest New Year’s Eve celebrations.

The highly anticipated festival will feature an impressive line-up of some of South Africa’s most celebrated artists, including DJ Maphorisa, Thukuthela, Jazzwrld & GL Ceejay, Zee Nxumalo, Big Zulu, Dladla Mshunqisi, Dlala Thukzin, uMafikizolo, Nkeshemba, Jumbo, Naledi Aphiwe, Professor, Shenge, as well as a strong showcase of local talent.

Event organiser Sipho Ndaba expressed his excitement about the milestone edition of the festival.

“We are extremely excited to be hosting the 16th annual Last Dance Music Festival here in Pietermaritzburg. This event has grown over the years into a powerful platform that brings people together through music and celebration,” said Ndaba.

“We invite everyone to come out in their numbers, celebrate responsibly, and be part of an unforgettable New Year’s Eve experience.”

Ndaba also highlighted the broader impact of the festival beyond entertainment.

“The Last Dance Music Festival plays an important role in boosting tourism, stimulating the local economy, and creating opportunities for both established and emerging artists. It is not just a concert – it is a celebration of our culture, our talent, and our city,” he added.
