Tennis legends Serena and Venus Williams rally to debut new podcast in August

Tennis legends Serena and Venus Williams are stepping into the world of podcasts, much to the delight of their millions of fans across the globe. 

The sisters recently announced that their new video podcast in collaboration with X (formerly known as Twitter), will be a platform filled with personal stories, authentic conversations, and a healthy dose of humour.

“We’re so excited to be launching our new podcast, a place where we will share our personal stories, have authentic conversations, spotlight important topics, and laugh a lot,” the Williams sisters said in a joint statement.

“This platform gives us the chance to engage directly with our fans who have supported us throughout our careers, and we’re excited to connect with audiences, old and new, in a way we’ve never done before.”

The podcast isn't solely about the sisters' illustrious careers; episodes will focus on guest interviews with “visionaries, creators and rulebreakers passionate about shattering the status quo”.

"Venus and Serena are among the most popular personalities on X, cutting across generational and geographic lines to amass a combined 11.8 million followers on X, which is where fans overwhelmingly get updates on the Williams sisters," shared a post by X Originals. 

Their collaboration adds them to the growing roster of X Originals creators, a space that has previously seen their family member Alexis Ohanian, Serena’s husband, launch a reality series.

The podcast debuts in August on X and is co-produced by Serena's Nine Two Six Productions.

“Venus and Serena are among the most recognisable and revered athletes in the world and their decision to team up with X places them at the centre of our rapidly evolving original content strategy,” said Mitchell Smith, X's head of Original Content. 

“We’ve seen significant momentum with premium programming in 2025 and we look forward to building on this success. We could not be more excited to partner with them.”

Serena and Venus boast remarkable achievements in tennis. Serena holds a record 23 Grand Slam titles, the most in the Open Era, while Venus has claimed seven major trophies, including five at Wimbledon and two at the US Open.

Together, they have shared 14 Grand Slam titles in doubles and three Olympic gold medals in women's doubles, making them one of sports' most formidable pairs.
