The countdown has begun for reality TV fans as the highly anticipated trailer for "The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa" is here, and it promises an exhilarating mix of catfights, laughter and opulence.

Forget the notion of a tranquil holiday, this girls’ trip is anything but serene!

In the explosive trailer, viewers catch a glimpse of the fabulous housewives from Durban and Johannesburg, Jojo Robinson, Annie Mthembu, Nqobile "Angel" Ndlela, Madam Evodia and Christall Kay as they touch down in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for the ultimate girls trip.

They are joined by fan-favourites Zena Nyambu and Dr Catherine Masitsa ("The Real Housewives of Nairobi"), Princess Jecoco ("The Real Housewives of Abuja") and Mariam Adeyemi Timmer ("The Real Housewives of Lagos").

The ladies are staying at the luxurious Villa Paranaguá.

The housewives indulge in the high life, lounging by the pool and sipping on premium champagne.

"This is going to be good," confesses Timmer, while twiddling her fingers.

The trailer teases hints of juicy confrontations. Mthembu states: "You guys are constantly fighting." Madam Evodia fires back with, "Go to hell. Take a sho't left to hell."

As for the gossip? It’s plentiful.

Robertson says to another lady, "I expect you to find a man".

In another shot, she's gossiping with one of the other ladies, saying: "She said that she's horny. She said she was having a wet a** p****."

The comments hit below the belt when they say: "I will tear you're a** apart" and "You're going to get your a** whipped again."

There is also a mysterious woman who will be entering the Villa.

Executive producer Graeme Swanepoel said: "'The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa' is more than just a reality show, it’s a celebration of African womanhood in all its power, diversity and glamour.

He added: "For the first time, we’re bringing together iconic Housewives from across the continent to share their worlds, their stories and their sisterhood. It’s unapologetically Pan-African, women-led and bursting with the kind of energy and authenticity that makes Africa unlike anywhere else on Earth."

Barrie Kelly, vice president of International Format Production and Development at NBCUniversal Formats, added: "Every African version of 'The Real Housewives' has captured the vibrant diversity of its country while resonating with audiences both locally and globally.

"With 'The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa', we are taking that energy to the next level ... This series brings together some of the most formidable Housewives for an unforgettable journey. We can’t wait for viewers to join them on the trip of a lifetime to Brazil."

Produced by GOAT Productions, the creators behind "Unfollowed", "Untied" and season 3 of "Life With Kelly Khumalo", "The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa" will premiere on Showmax on November 28, followed by Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) on November 29.
