Mi Casa has been living rent-free in many of our minds for years, dropping many hits that have become the soundtrack to some of our best memories.
Who can forget "Mamela", the love anthem that had us singing our hearts out at weddings, braais and even those awkward family gatherings?
From humble beginnings to dominating the local and international music scene, the group has cemented itself as one of Mzansi’s favourite groups.
Formed in 2011, the trio which comprises J’Something, Dr Duda and Mo-T, came together by chance but they quickly made their mark with their unique sound which blends deep house, jazz and Afro-soul.
Their self-titled debut album introduced us to their fresh sound and, before we knew it, they were selling out shows and collecting awards.
Now, they’re bringing the magic to Cape Town’s Kirstenbosch Gardens this Sunday, March 2, promising an afternoon of good vibes, great music and pure nostalgia.
The Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts are known for their family-friendly atmosphere, allowing attendees to enjoy performances in a relaxed, open-air environment.
This inclusive setting has made the series a staple in Cape Town's cultural scene, fostering a sense of community and shared appreciation for music and nature.
J’Something couldn’t hide his excitement ahead of the performance, saying: “Every Mi Casa show is about love, connection and creating unforgettable memories."
He added: "There’s something special about performing in Cape Town and we can’t wait to share this experience with our fans. Expect an afternoon of feel-good vibes, dancing and music that brings people together in the best way possible.”
Mi Casa's latest album, "THR3E," was released in October 2024 on Apple Music. This album is a celebration of over 13 years of friendship and collaboration.

Richard Ceasar, a prominent figure in Cape Town's jazz scene, has dedicated over 25 years to mastering the guitar and is excited to share his passion with music lovers.
His musical journey took a significant turn when he was introduced to George Benson's "Breezin" album by the renowned Schilder family, who were influential musicians in the area.
This pivotal moment shifted Ceasar's focus from classical to jazz guitar, inspiring him to create a unique blend of deep house, jazz and Afro-soul.
In tribute to the legendary George Benson, Ceasar is set to perform "The George Benson Songbook".
His admiration for Benson runs deep, as he reflects on how the artist's music transformed his life: "They were the first people to play George Benson’s music, that "Breezin' album... It was like being born again, it was a revelation for me."
As the concert date approaches, Ceasar has been actively preparing with his band, sharing his excitement on social media.
"I am currently reviewing some songs with the Boys for the George Benson Songbook, specifically Havana Nights. We anticipate seeing you on 2 March. It is going to be pleasant!"

Join the excitement at Camps Bay Beach for a colourful silent disco, where music, dancing and vibrant vibes come together for a sunset to remember. Guests are invited to light up the beach with neon and glow-in-the-dark accessories while enjoying three music channels.
The first channel, Red, is dedicated to K-Pop, perfect for fans ready to bust their party moves.
Meanwhile, the Green channel features R&B and hip-hop, inviting everyone to sing along to their favourite tracks. The blue channel delivers melodic, progressive house, allowing attendees to let the beats elevate their spirits.
The dress code is all about creativity, with attendees urged to wear neon, glow-in-the-dark outfits, or beach chic styles with a glowing twist.
