When American entrepreneur and social media personality Becca Bloom married software engineer David Pownall at the breathtaking Villa Balbiano on Lake Como, the celebration was anything but ordinary.

With just 60 hand-picked guests, a curated designer wardrobe, and a reception straight out of a European dream, the $6 million affair reflected not just the couple’s wealth — but their intentional approach to love, aesthetics, and joy. Among the many stand-out details? A lighthearted yet luxurious touch: the couple hired two Etsy witches to help ensure perfect weather — a decision that, much like the bride herself, mixed elegance with a sense of humor and individuality.

The couple, who began their relationship in 2019 and got engaged during a trip to Positano four years later, hosted an intimate celebration with just 60 guests. Despite their extravagant lifestyle, Becca and David had complete creative control over the wedding and chose to keep it personal and private.

Becca, originally from Atherton, California — an area known for its wealth — is an entrepreneur and social media personality. She is the founder of StudiPal, an online tutoring platform for students in China, and the co-founder of Hearth Wireless Charges, a brand specializing in phone chargers. She holds a degree in business economics and a minor in law.

She and David first met at a coffee shop in Palo Alto when he had just moved from Canada. As she shared, “my fiancée works in tech", and so does her family.

On social media, Becca has gained a following not from influencing alone but from her background, combined with her authenticity and humility. She posted highlights from her wedding on TikTok, drawing praise from followers who were moved by both the luxury and her grounded personality.

One fan, Mia Lynn, commented, “For the first time in my life, I'm genuinely happy for someone rich because no amount of money touches how good of a person Becca Bloom is. The most congratulations to you both.”

For their rehearsal dinner, Becca wore a bold fashion ensemble that included a giant flower dress by Oscar de la Renta, a statement Bulgari high jewelry piece featuring a rubellite center, and Calvin Klein boots. David was dressed in Ralph Lauren paired with Chanel shoes — a nod to the couple’s effortless embrace of luxury fashion as part of their everyday lives.

Despite coming from a privileged background — frequently sharing glimpses of luxury gifts and vacations on Instagram — Becca remains mindful of her family's privacy. In her own words: “I want to give my parents as much privacy as I can, but obviously they’re extremely successful and they’re both entrepreneurs working in tech and real estate.” She emphasizes her upbringing “it only motivates me to work as hard as possible to be the best as I can be.”

Becca also revealed in a TikTok video on January 17 that she had only started her account a week earlier, initially intending it for her cat. “I never knew people would actually want to watch me,” she said.

From magical winds to Oscar-worthy fashion, Becca Bloom’s Lake Como wedding proves that while wealth may open doors, authenticity keeps them open.
