There were some crazy looks at this year’s MTV VMAs, and if you were scrolling through your feeds, you probably did a double-take at Doja Cat's viral red carpet appearance.

The "Paint the Town Red" singer didn’t just pose for pictures; she even playfully bit into a lipstick.

Yep, she put the lipstick in her mouth and took a bite of it!

We know that Doja can be very dramatic with her looks and way-out stunts, but why exactly would she do something so crazy?

It was all part of a clever, playful teaser for her new ambassadorship with MAC Cosmetics.

MAC officially confirmed that this unexpected stunt served to announce that Doja Cat is now their newest global ambassador.

Now, let's talk about that lipstick she was munching on.

While Doja Cat did wear MAC's iconic Lady Danger red lipstick on her actual lips, the one she took a bite out of wasn't the real cosmetic item.

Instead, it was an edible, chocolate-coated replica. And who created this sweet masterpiece?

None other than the world-famous pastry chef and chocolatier, Amaury Guichon.

He concocted the unique treat, making it truly a one-of-a-kind red carpet accessory.

Doja even shared the "sweet accessory" on Instagram.

Both Doja Cat and MAC are clearly enthusiastic about this collaboration.

Aïda Moudachirou-Rebois, MAC Cosmetics senior vice president and global general manager, extended a warm welcome to Doja.

She stated that "MAC has always been a platform for artists, performers and creatives who shape culture," and praised Doja as "one of the most exciting voices of her generation," highlighting her creativity, unique artistry, and fearless spirit that resonates globally.

Nicola Formichetti, MAC’s global creative director, also shared his excitement, describing Doja Cat as "fearless, subversive and completely original," which perfectly embodies MAC's values.

Doja Cat herself expressed her long-standing connection to makeup, saying, "Makeup is my paint, my armour, my way of creating characters, and MAC has always stood for that kind of artistry and freedom".

She also hinted that they plan to "push it even further and make people see beauty in a whole new way" through this partnership.

Beyond the edible prop, Doja Cat’s entire red carpet ensemble was a standout.

She rocked a sleek mini dress from the luxury brand Balmain, paired with eye-catching mega-platform yellow open-toed heels.

For her makeup, she featured her signature skinny eyebrows and a sharp cat-eye wing.

To complete the look, her hair was styled in a beautiful, bouncy blond blowout, reminiscent of Pamela Anderson and Dolly Parton.
