South African actress and model, Beáta Bena Green, opened up about how she felt after being rejected by the Miss SA organisation for the fourth time.

Green took to social media and shared that she recorded a video the day before the Top 10 2025 finalists were revealed, and for some reason and due to her previous experiences, she knew that she did not make the cut.

“This was my fourth application and it was by far the best experience I’ve had. I didn't come into 2025, into the year knowing I was gonna enter. I thought the last time I entered was the final time,” she shared.

The former “7de Laan” actress also said that her previous experiences when she entered the beauty pageant had the same outcome.

“In all the years I've entered, the three years before, I’ve had the same results where I’ve sent an application and never went for an interview or got invited for an interview after that,” Green said.

She shared an unfiltered and emotional reaction as to how she felt about the rejection, the lessons behind the rejection and how even though she was sad about it, she saw it as a misdirection to something greater.

“Now I’m sitting in a situation where I have to look at it and go, 'So I didn't make it again, what do I take from this?’

“Almost instantly, I know that this was the best that could’ve happened because this year has offered such exponential growth and such a strong sense of community,” she said

The 29-year-old further revealed that she has learned something throughout the entire process. Even though she’s sad about the situation, she’s glad that she entered the 2025 competition because there are other doors that have opened for her.

“I think sometimes you don't get what you want, even if you work hard for it, but you get what you need from that work that you put in. And other doors open, other avenues are set in front of you, and you just align because you put in the work.

“The beautiful things that came from this process? Absolutely, they would have not existed if I did not apply,” she said.

Green further shared a heart-warming photographic journal of how becoming Miss SA has always been a dream of hers from the time she was 11 years old.

From keeping pictures of previously crowned beauty queens, to articles as well as letters she wrote herself on what she would do with the Miss SA title.

Fans and friends took to the comment section to rally behind her and offer motivational words.

“Oh mama, you’re incredible and I pray that your heart finds room to experience it,” @ontshi_tlhopane said.

“You are one incredible woman! I still truly see you as Miss South Africa one day!!” @jayden.mopp commented.
