This is the first time ever that a Corvette has been available in right-hand-drive form from the factory.

Ever dreamed of owning a Corvette? For the first time ever, the Chevrolet sports car is available in South Africa as a factory-built right-hand drive vehicle.
However this doesn’t mark the official return of the Chevrolet brand, which exited our market when General Motors pulled the plug in 2017. Rather, it is an exclusive and low-volume import via the CVH Auto Group, based in Bryanston, Johannesburg.
What's the price?
Getting the new Corvette Stingray into your driveway will set you back from R3.7 million, with both the coupe, convertible and Z06 models being available to South Africans.
That makes it a shade more expensive than the Porsche 911 GTS (R3.25m) and cheaper than the 911 GT3 (R4.62m) and Mercedes-AMG’s GT63 S (R4.38m).
The Corvette Stingray, introduced in 2020, is the first-ever series-produced mid-engined Corvette, with previous iterations having been front-engined.
The Stingray is mid-engined.

It is powered by a normally aspirated 6.2-litre V8 engine that thunders out 369kW and 637Nm, allowing for a claimed 0-100km/h sprint time of 3.5 seconds. Power goes to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
All local cars will also be fitted as standard with the Z51 Performance Package, which sharpens the car’s track capabilities with features such as upgraded performance suspension, electronic limited-slip differential, larger brakes and an upgraded aerodynamic package.
The Corvette Z06 model takes track precision to a new level, with its new 500kW 5.5-litre LT6 engine, widened stance and bespoke chassis.
"Racing was the reason the Z06 was developed in 1963, and it continues to support development of the road models that make them better on the street and the track," said Tadge Juechter, executive chief engineer, Corvette.
"It also means we've tested the Z06 on the best tracks around the world, from Circuit of the Americas here in the United States, to the Nürburgring in Germany.
The cabin includes modern electronic conveniences.

CVH Auto says the right-hand drive Corvette is fully homologated in South Africa, and a service plan and warranty are included in the price. Finance and insurance are also available.
