Radio Zibonele FM and Heart to Heart event host Tabita Busani led the gathering through prayer and worship.
The spirit of praise reverberated through the halls of the Thusong Centre on Saturday, October 19, when Radio Zibonele FM presented its annual Heart to Heart praise and worship event with host Tabita Busani.
Under the theme “Invincible Warrior’’, women from all walks of life praised and worshipped God and took home positive messages.
Umhlobo Wenene FM radio host, Apostle Bathandwa Kwatsha, Prophetess Zandile Mazwi and Apostle Zukiswa Solomon from Cape Town Makhaza (Kings Highway International Ministries) were the main speakers.
Ms Busani said when they started the event it was mainly about conversing about issues facing society and having victims share their stories, however, what was not being addressed was the spiritual side.
She said they slightly changed the event to incorporate praise and worship.
She said people's past traumas were triggered but they left the event feeling hopeful and brave.
She said the event seeks to be uplifting so people can achieve their dreams.
“I was moved when people said the event has empowered them to look at life with different eyes. I have no words to express the sense of gratitude. These events are not entertainment but they touch lives and make a life-changing impact. This event afforded me a platform to heal and speak publicly about my life challenges and I wanted for others as well to use it and not live in the past. I hope that everyone that graces this event has found healing and their presence has contributed significantly in bettering this event and making an impact,” she said.
Talking about challenges, Ms Busani said she hosts the event from her own pocket and does not have a sponsor.
Prophetess Mazwi said the key message she delivered was to urge women to be patient in their journey and master the art of perseverance and resilience.
She pleaded with women to not let their past traumas control their future. She urged them to get closer to God and allow Him to lead them.
She said one of their weaknesses as women is not taking time to heal which has long-term effects.
One of the attendees, Sithambisen Nguwata, said she felt the presence of God in the area. She said this was the first time that she attended the event and she felt a sense of deliverance, energised and ready to conquer new challenges.
