Join the Fish Hoek Lions Club on Saturday February 15 for the Big Walk for Little Warriors in aid of Reach for a Dream.
The 5km colour walk will start at the Fish Hoek Athletics Club at noon and promises to be a fun day for the entire family.
Tickets for the event cost R55 and are available at from Quicket, while on-the-day entries will cost R75.
Fish Hoek Lions Club president Mandy Proctor said Reach for a Dream brought joy and hope to children facing serious illnesses.
“As a community-driven organisation, we believe in making a difference, and this event allows us to do just that - one splash of colour at a time,” she said.
Reach for a Dream branch manager Heidi Rowley said: “We feel that every step taken in this walk translates into a dream fulfilled, a moment of joy, and a break from reality for a child undergoing medical treatment.”
Proceeds from the event would help to grant the children’s dreams whether they were meeting a hero, enjoying an adventure, or receiving a cherished gift, she said.
“With this wonderful support, we can continue to make dreams come true and let our dreamers know that dreams matter,” she said.
