Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Crimes court has postponed the fraud and theft case against former ANC national spokesperson Pule Mabe to February 18, 2026.
This is due to the outcome of the defence's representations.
Mabe and six co-accused made a brief appearance in court on Wednesday morning, facing charges of fraud, theft, and money laundering related to a R27 million tender.
The charges arise from a 2017 contract awarded to Mabe’s company, Enviro Mobi, for the supply of 200 waste collection vehicles—commonly referred to as "tuk-tuks"—intended to support 58 waste pickers in the Ekurhuleni municipality.
The case also involves over R6 million in storage fees, allegedly paid by the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (GDARD).
All seven accused are currently out on bail of R30,000 each.
The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has obtained a preservation order preventing Mabe from selling or transferring ownership of his property in Steyn City, as well as his Porsche Carrera.
According to the state, Mabe is alleged to have secured the tender through fraudulent means while still serving as a Member of Parliament (MP).
