The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has officially announced the grant payment schedule for July 2025, ensuring that millions of beneficiaries can plan ahead for essential expenses.

According to SASSA, payments for older person’s grants will begin on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, and this includes any grants linked to these accounts. The disability grants will follow on Thursday, July 3, 2025, while children’s grants will be paid from Friday, July 4, 2025.

"There is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day. Once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed," SASSA emphasised in its communication.

This reassurance aims to reduce overcrowding and long queues at pay points and ATMs, promoting a safer and more convenient collection process.

In addition to these dates, SASSA has also outlined the payment window for the Covid-19 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant for June 2025. Payments for approved clients will be processed from June 26 to 30, 2025.

Beneficiaries are urged to check their exact payment dates on the SRD website to confirm when the funds will reflect in their bank accounts.

SASSA further highlighted its commitment to efficient service delivery by reaffirming its mission: "paying the right social grant, to the right person, at the right time and place. NJALO!"

Beneficiaries are encouraged to use available online platforms for any grant-related queries.

As always, SASSA reminds recipients to stay patient and avoid rushing to collection points to ensure safety and ease of access for all.
