Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, Thami Ntuli, together with Members of the Executive Council, key mayors, and senior government officials, this week led a strategic engagement known as the KZN cabinet Lekgotla.

Delegates gathered to explore new ideas that could drive KwaZulu-Natal's overall economic growth and create sustainable job opportunities. A focal point of this high-level gathering is the “One plan, One Budget” initiative, which aims to enhance the province's port and rail infrastructure, thereby ensuring seamless operations crucial for economic development.

In his opening remarks, Ntuli said it marked an important milestone for the 7th Administration.

"Despite the many challenges we have faced, we stand together with confidence and conviction, knowing that we have steered this provincial ship through turbulent waters from volatility and rising crime, to the complex demands of service delivery,” said Ntuli.

Ntuli added that the province’s future lies in embracing secure, future-proof, and trusted digital technologies.

“This Lekgotla demands focus on what must be done, by whom, and within what frame. Our success will depend on our ability to align our institutional capacity with the realities of our province and to move with urgency, precision and accountability in delivering on our commitments to the people of KwaZulu-Natal,” said Ntuli.
