In the other semi-final, Stellenbosch FC entered the second leg with a commanding 2-0 advantage from the first leg against Sekhukhune United. They held Sekhukhune to a 1-1 draw to seal an impressive 3-1 aggregate victory, booking a place in the final for the second straight season.

Stellenbosch midfielder Mthetheleli Mthiyane announced himself on the national stage by scoring his first goal for the club, setting the tone in their semi-final second leg against Sekhukhune United.
