According to the latest rumours, Apple could release a number of new products this month, including a MacBook Pro and an iPad Pro.

A new Apple Vision Pro is also reportedly on the cards.

The new products will all feature the new M5 chip.

Two Russian YouTubers, who somehow got their hands on the M4 MacBook Pro before it was released to the public last year, unveiled new iPad Pro models with the M5 chip upgrade. This means the release of these devices has to be imminent.

Apple Product Updates: iPad Pro M4 and MacBook Pro Timelines Shifted

Widely regarded as the most accurate leaker of Apple news, Bloomberg Managing Editor Mark Gurman shed light on the latest development on X.

He said: “The iPad Pro M4 is fairly constrained at Apple retail stores, and online shipments are now delayed till between Oct. 21-28 for online orders of some configurations. A good as any sign for an imminent iPad Pro M5 debut. Entry (non-Pro/Max chip) 14-inch MacBook Pros as well.

“On the base level 14-inch MacBook Pros, custom configurations on the line store are constrained till the end of October. Not the case for the Pro/Max and 16-inch models.”

It was originally expected that new MacBook Pros would only be released in 2026, but now the timeline seems to have moved up.

MacBook Pro Base Model 14” to Debut M5 Chip Ahead of Schedule

That suggests that, unlike in previous announcements, not all the MacBook Pros will be released together. Instead, only the base model 14” should be expected.

In the past, Apple has released its new devices in staggered intervals, like when the M4 chip debuted in the iPad Pro only in May last year.

It meant consumers had to wait before the Macbooks would feature the new generation chips.

Now it seems, the MacBook Pro will be the first to debut the M5 chip, and Apple has taken everyone by surprise by at least a few months.
