Season 5 of Big Brother Mzansi has been serving serious “Umlilo” (fire) and we are only three weeks in!
The drama has been escalating since day one, with two housemates collecting strikes in the second week of the controversial show, and now, 22-year-old KayB has been disqualified.
Things took a dark turn on Wednesday night when KayB got the boot for forcefully kissing another housemate, Beekay, without his consent. Beekay was not the only housemate who complained; Nate had also spoken out about how KayB touched her without consent.
A statement was released by Big Brother on X, announcing that KayB would be disqualified from the competition.
It reads: “Following investigations by Big Brother, housemate Kay B will be immediately evicted from the Big Brother Mzansi house.
KayB’s behavior has caused serious offense to fellow housemates, and due to this misconduct, she has been disqualified. Mzansi Magic does not condone any acts that threaten the safety and well-being of the housemates.”

Prior to KayB's disqualification, two housemates, Ashley Ogle and Bonni Bee, were caught in a crossfire for repeatedly "rape-shaming" and victim-blaming KayB after she shared her story of being sexually violated with the rest of the house during their introductory session.
This turned into a shocking moment when the two contestants showed no remorse, continuously gossiping about KayB's trauma behind her back.
The "rape-shaming" and lack of remorse infuriated the majority of Big Brother viewers, who labeled Ashley and Bonni Bee as "rape apologists" and demanded that they be disqualified from the game.
KayB's lack of boundaries led directly to disqualification due to its severity, as Big Brother does not condone any behavior that threatens another housemate's well-being.
