Buckle up for a playful adventure filled with charming characters and magical moments as Peter Rabbit and Me return to entertain families at the National Children’s Theatre (NCT) at the Parktown Theatre Campus.

This beloved production - which has gathered widespread praise and demand - promises to delight audiences of all ages with its enchanting tale and heart warming charm.

The show has quickly become a favourite among Johannesburg's young theatre enthusiasts and families, entertaining audiences with its mix of humour, education, and heartfelt life lessons.

Peter Rabbit and Me, takes audiences back to the late 19th century, where the enchanting world of young Beatrix Potter unfolds on stage.

Set against the backdrop of her childhood adventures, this delightful production brings to life the imagination of one of literature's most beloved children's authors, celebrating the joy, creativity, and mischievous nature that defined her memorable stories.

Ivor Jones, director of the play said one of the most charming aspects of Peter Rabbit and Me is its interactivity, which invites the audience to become an integral part of the story.

“What I find fascinating about Peter Rabbit and Me is how the audience loves to get involved. Our characters consult kids in the audience throughout the play, and it becomes a happy interactive romp of a show,” he said.

NCT CEO Tamara Guhrs said the play’s message to young audiences is that imagination and creativity help us make the most of our circumstances.

“This is a fun lesson to learn, but it’s also a powerful life skill, as creativity and innovation are key to our success in life and to building a better society,”says Guhrs.

NCTT Board chair Moira Katz said the magic of Beatrix Potter and her timeless characters comes not only from the heart-warming stories she crafted but also from the remarkable multi-talented individual behind it all.
