The previous year ended with a big surprise, with Mich Mazibuko surfacing as Somizi Mhlongo’s alleged lover.
In a video circulating on social media, the two were seen sipping champagne and sharing a kiss. However, the kiss was not vivid as the pair hid it with their glasses to avoid making it obvious.

Social media users took the opportunity to drag Mhlongo, known for dating younger men.
The “Metro FM” presenter was married to Mohale Motaung, who was at least 23 years younger than him.
“Somizi’s friends need to sit him down and drag the filth out of him for grooming kids. He’s literally pushing 60, but he’s saying a child born in the 2000s. He’s sick,” said @moesuttle.
Another X user, @TwixSin0, said: “Somizi is those men my Grade 11 isiXhosa creepy teacher used to warn us about. He said they sat in corners kwaChippa to prey on drunk young girls. That’s exactly what Somizi is - a predator.”
However, others defended him, saying that the young men who dated the 52-year-old choreographer knew what they were doing and were probably using him to become famous.

Meanwhile, Mhlongo is enjoying a summer vacation in Zimbali Lodge, Durban, while Mazibuko is between gigs.
