Police in Sekgosese in Limpopo have launched a manhunt to find a couple who allegedly shot two people in an apparent road rage incident on New Year’s Day.

In a statement, police said the incident took place in Roerfontein village on January 1.

According to police, preliminary investigations revealed that a male suspect was allegedly called to the scene by his girlfriend.

The girlfriend told her partner that her vehicle had knocked into another vehicle and that the other driver had taken her vehicle’s keys from her, said the statement.

“The suspect, upon his arrival at the scene and without uttering any word, shot the two men who are said to be neighbours and fled the scene in a white Nissan NP 200 vehicle,” said the police.

Police said a manhunt had since been launched for the couple and anyone with information that can assist should contact Investigating Officer Warrant Officer David Maseakwala on 079 809 0993 or Crime Stop number 0860010111 or nearest police station or submit a tip-off on the MySAPSApp.
