Western Cape Auctioneers is gearing to sell the entire contents of two 140-seater Western Cape restaurants in an online auction starting at 11am on July 1 and ending on July 7 from 11am until the last lot has been offered. Chris Baard of Western Cape Auctioneers says the restaurants’ equipment was still in full use before lockdown, but it is recommended that potential bidders inspect working order prior to the sale.

“The equipment, as well as antique furniture units; quality, solid wooden tables and chairs; decor; glassware; crockery; cutlery; pots and pans – everything required for the running of a restaurant – will be up for auction.”

Vehicles connected with the restaurants’ operations, including a 2005 Peugeot 2006 2 litre Coupe, a 2012 VW Amarok Executive 4x4, a 30-kVA trailer-mounted diesel generator and a 6m refrigerated container, are among the lots to be sold voetstoots.

Viewing of the vehicles must be arranged with the auctioneers. The other assets can be viewed on weekdays from 9am to 3pm (even while the auction is under way) on the farm Klein Joostenberg on Route R304, the Klipheuwel/Stellenbosch road, just off the N1 towards Stellenbosch.

Potential buyers should visit the website www.westerncapeauctions.co.za for full catalogues and essential pre-registration. For further details and viewing arrangements, phone 021 884 4054 or Sherril Baard at 082 576 6447, Chris Baard at 060 675 5801 or mail chris@ westerncapeauctions.co.za.
