The entertainer became a household name for her role as “Pearl'' in the popular e.tv soapie, House of Zwide.

She previously played the role of Shannon in the first season of the SABC2 medical drama series Hillside, in 2006.

As a singer, The Mpumalanga-native first rose to fame as one of the top 10 on a show called Coca-Cola Popstars in 2002.

You are able to work with any film director in the world. Whom do you choose?

It would be incredible to work with Ava Duvernay, she is simply incredible.

Which woman in your life has inspired you the most?

There are so so many incredible women in my life but if I had to choose just one, I have to say my mom. She has overcome so many obstacles over the past few years and has inspired me to not ever give up. Every day, watching mom push has encouraged me to keep pushing no matter how difficult it becomes.

Your favourite item of clothing in your closet?

My green oversized winter coat. It has kept me warm, comfortable and cute this winter.

Definitely South Africa! South Africa has such a large variety of tastes and spices and flavours.

The highlight of your career?

Getting to travel to various countries to sing but also learning so much about various cultures and people, and gaining lasting friendships. Travel has been such a great education.

How would you describe living as a woman in South Africa?

I've always lived a pretty fearless life, trusting God every step of the way no matter where I find myself, but when you watch the news daily, being a woman in South Africa has become scary. We can only continue to pray for change.

What song would describe your life right now?

Finish Strong by Naomi Raine...

"I wanna finish strong, I wanna finish brave, I wanna show the world we don't have to live afraid. I wanna finish bold and be able to say I was someone courageous and I wanna finish changed."

You are able to collaborate on a song with any musician in SA. Who do you choose to collaborate with?

This is a difficult question because there is so much talent in our country. Where does one even begin, right now I really want to work with Thapelo Lekoane. She is an amazing singer, songwriter and producer.
