Paris is about to get a whole lot more fabulous. The one and only Lady Gaga is confirmed to headline the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games on Friday, July 26, according to “The Hollywood Reporter”.

While the rumour mill has been swirling with names like Celine Dion, Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande and Aya Nakamura, the ceremony's full line-up remains a closely guarded secret.

However, the potential star power joining Gaga on stage is enough to make anyone's heart race. In an exciting twist, it’s been hinted that Dion is also in talks for a special performance.

Speculation about these performances hit a fever pitch when NBC News reported that Gaga and Dion were spotted jetting off to Paris earlier this week. Videos posted on social media show the “A Star Is Born” actress waving to a crowd of ecstatic fans outside her car in the City of Light.

Rumour has it the two pay homage to the iconic Édith Piaf with a stirring performance of “L'Hymne à l'amour”. This would be Dion's first public appearance since revealing her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome and cancelling her tour.

Dion wrote on X: “Every time I return to Paris, I remember there’s so much beauty and joy still to experience in the world. I love Paris, and I’m so happy to be back! Thank you to our wonderful friends at The Louvre!”
