Tottenham Hotspur’s season went from bad to worse on the weekend when the club parted ways with interim head coach Igor Tudor.

With seven games remaining in the season, Spurs find themselves in 17th place, one point ahead of West Ham with the two clubs battling against relegation. Spurs fans should be worried about West Ham’s form, though, as their London rivals have picked up more points over the last five games. Spurs are currently winless in 2026.

Former Lazio and Juventus boss, Tudor was appointed on a short-term basis following the sacking of Thomas Frank and was tasked with getting the reigning Europa League champions out of the relegation battle.

Under Tudor, the club sank deeper in trouble, and lurched closer to the relegation places. Tudor was expected to be fired after the club’s 3-0 loss at home to Nottingham Forest a week ago, but the club decided to halt that decision after his father passed away.

Now that Tudor’s gone, a number of head coaches have been linked with the club from Oliver Glasner, Roberbo de Zerbi, Mauricio Pochettino and Marco Silva. One manager who has said no to Spurs is former Monaco boss, Austrian Adolf Hütter.

Hütter, who prefers to go by the name Adi due to the negative connotations associations with “Adolf”, said while he had a desire to return to football management, he wanted to do so with a full pre-season schedule behind him.

“In the last few days and weeks, I have been increasingly linked with various clubs. However, as I already said immediately after my time at Monaco, I fundamentally want to work as a head coach again at the beginning of the new season at the earliest,” said the Austrian.

“My stance on this topic has not changed since then.”

With the managerial search now underway, Spurs face a pivotal week that could define the rest of their season. Whoever steps into Tudor’s shoes will be tasked with the near-impossible: stabilising a squad low on confidence, halting a disastrous winless run, and keeping the club in the Premier League.

With relegation looming and only seven games to turn things around, every decision – from tactics to team selection – will be under intense scrutiny, and Spurs supporters will be hoping the next appointment can inject the spark their season desperately needs.
